The 'Bear Trax' Chalet is located in a unique residential area (Chalet Village) right on the main road that traverses Gatlinburg's western slope, and from the front deck there's a gorgeous view of one of the tallest peaks in the Smoky Mountains - Mount LeConte. This entire chalet sits on solid ground, and does not perch perilously over sloping landscapes as many in this area do, and is located only 5 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg, as well as Ober Gatlinburg (the ski lodge). Bear Trax is a beautiful 3-story A-Frame, with over 2100 square feet, and displays a pride of workmanship with all cedar wood and cut stone inside and out.

The kitchen is complete with all appliances....all you need to supply are the groceries during your stay (or check out any of the fabulous restaurants downtown)! In the frontroom we've added comfy over-stuffed couches. See pics below on both our great gameroom (professional size slate pool table, foosball table, and electronic dartboard), and our new 5-seater hot tub outside on the deck in our large wooded lot. We've recently expanded our driveway to accomodate up to 5 vehicles, which is a real rarity in these hills! This chalet has been known for its bear sightings, with 6 new sightings since May 2005!.
