Elmo's Rest is located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, at the foot of the Peaks of Otter. In the early 1900's, Elmo Johnson and his wife Freddie lived and ~nl~raised their family in the house. They planted their first apple tree ~nl~in 1919. The secluded home is in the middle of 250 acres of orchards, ~nl~lush pastures, and shady woods. It is located a ½-mile from the nearest dwelling. |

The rambling 19th-Century farmhouse is furnished as if someone stepped out in the 1930's or 40's, yet it has all the modern conveniences of home. The farmhouse is completely furnished to ~nl~accommodate groups, families, and couples. The home has 5 bedrooms and sleeps up to 14 guests. Three of the ~nl~bedrooms each have 2 double beds, one bedroom has 2 bunk beds (4 beds), and another bedroom has a single bed and a twin baby bed. The house also has a living room, dining room, 2 bathrooms, and plenty of porches for sitting. |

weekly $500.00 base, plus $50.00 for each person or pet. ~nl~Winter week-end getaway, $250.00 base, plus and $25.00 for each person or pet. Reservations; $200. Deposit required. Our week runs from 3:30 p.m. Monday until 9 a.m. Monday. Week-ends run from Friday p.m. until 9 a.m. Monday, November thru April, and other times not rented for the week. ~nl~ |
